"Else" is a biannual magazine published by Musée de l'Élysée, a renowned museum in Lausanne, Switzerland, entirely devoted to photography. For this instalment, the magazine casts a wide net, presenting diverse photographers, series and subjects: the staging of events in world history is revealed, Hal Fischer’s gay semiotics, American neon signs by day and night, Reinaldo Loureiro Farhan finds migrants smuggled in cars across the Spanish-Moroccan border, Elizabeth Heyert’s serene post-mortem portraiture of travellers to the afterlife, and the face of Christ appearing on objects, trees, food, clouds, landscapes and more, illustrations of pareidolia collected by Clément Chéroux. Other contributors include Roger Eberhard, Léopold Szondi, Anthony Hernandez, Erik Kessels and Werner Kühler.
